Here are some of David’s favourite songs that he has been involved in since starting in the music business:

"Swing Sessions 2"

David Campbell
When I met DC he had just arrived back from a successful cabaret season in NY. We tried a few different records but when we made the Swing Sessions albums things really took off. I love both albums but I feel a real affinity for the second one – probably cause I love the album cover and think that the track “Perhaps, Perhaps, Perhaps” is the most authentic DC had ever sounded.

"Reach Out"

Human Nature
This album changed everything for Human Nature. It was a real “backs to the wall” record – they were on the verge of being dropped by their label and needed a big hit to restore everybody’s faith. A big hit is what they got – 6 x platinum and the highest selling album of the guys career. HN really stepped up vocally too and brought a freshness to these classic songs. I had never really been that into Motown (besides Marvin Gaye) but these albums have reconnected me with some of the greatest songs of all time. This album also led us to Las Vegas and a beautiful friendship with the great man Smokey Robinson

"Running Back"
Jessica Mauboy feat. Flo Rida
Probably the most satisfying of all singles I have been involved with. A fantastic track that was a turning point for the urban/pop scene in Australia. Jessica’s delivery is so compelling and heartfelt and Audio’s track was banging! Flo rida was a wonderful addition and winning the Highest Selling Single of 2009 and the Apra Award for Urban Song Of the Year was cream on the cake. We love you J Mallie!

"Been Waiting"

Jessica Mauboy
Been Waiting was an album built on honesty, integrity and being real. Jessica is an amazing singer and a very promising young songwriter. We paid for all the initial demos ourselves until finally Sony understood where Jess was coming from. To their credit when they did they brought songs like “Burn” to the table and made this album the highest selling Australian album of 2009. Jess won MTV award for Best Australian Artist that year and this album truly was the beginning of a beautiful relationship with Miss Mauboy.

"Skin"
Katie Noonan
Katie clearly has one of the great voices in contemporary Australian music. It was fun working with her cause we both came from such different worlds musically but on this album I believed we gelled exceptionally well. My best mate Andrew Klippel produced the album and I think it is a very classy, beautiful release from the Brisbane songstress. She may never go back there but songs like “Return” and “Logic” are classics in my opinion.

"He Don't Love You"

Human Nature
A huge song and huge hit for HN. We all loved the video too so we were very proud of this one. Hot song and HN were on fire.

"Angel Eyes"
Paulini
4 weeks at No 1 says it all. Great song (thanks Mike!) and an incredible vocal from one of our finest singers.

"I Need Somebody"

Bardot
I reckon this was the coolest song Bardot ever did. Those girls were crazy sexy nuts but what a great track. The video is also a corker –what about Sophie in those $ earings –phew!

"Hope"

David Campbell
Great song and great Guy. We love DC.

"What About Me"

Shannon Noll
Even though I didn’t A&R this record I loved working it with Shannon. Great song and a fabulous artist. Go the “Cannon"!

"Shine"

Shannon Noll
Shannon and I were out ALL night in LA and I had to get up at 9am that morning and meet with my friend Matthew Gerard. I struggled out of bed after 1 hour sleep but I am glad I did as Matt played me the demo of “Shine” and I knew it was the one for Shannon. I played it to the ‘Cannon that night and he agreed. Ross Frazer and the boys added their parts and made it a smash. No1 debut, platinum seller and No1 radio record for so long. I love this song –I think it is the new national anthem!

"This Time I Know It's For Real"
Young Divas
Agent Supremo Tony Grace and I came up with the idea of putting Emily, Paulini, Kate and Ricki-Lee together for a tour. TG said that I had to create a single to promote the tour and help ticket sales. With the prospect of recording some of the best young voices in the country I got excited and hit the studio. My man George came up with a great production and the girls sang amazingly. This has got to be one of the freshest vocal performances from Australian singers in a long time. A total smash! You go girls.

"Pointless Relationship"
Tammin Sursok
A great song from an awesome chick. Talk about hot –Tammin sizzles and she sings this track fabulously. I had been trying to work with Tammin for years but it just never worked out. So when I got the chance to record with her I jumped at it and this was our first offering.

"Out With My Baby"

Guy Sebastian
What a cool song form a very cool young man. Guy’s an awsesome singer but also a very talented songwriter as you can hear from this song. Oh and the video also won “Best Pop Video” at the 2005 MTV Australia Video Awards. Go the “Fro"!
